What is included
- Full keyboard assembly (soldering or hotswap, depending on your PCB)
- Stabiliser tuning and lubing — contact point lubing and wire balancing, done to my standard
- Switch installation
- Basic sound and function test before return
- 1-year limited warranty on workmanship (see Terms & Conditions)
This service does not include switch modification or lubing. If you would like your switches lubed before the build, please also purchase the Switch Lubing Service separately and ship everything together.
Stabiliser approach
I lube and tune stabilisers as part of every build. My method focuses on long-lasting smoothness and rattle elimination. Holee mod and bandaid mod are not part of my process and will not be performed — requests for these modifications will not be accommodated. In my experience, these mods introduce mushiness and stickiness on the bottom-out that I am not willing to put my name on.
What you need to provide
You are responsible for supplying all components. The service fee covers labour only. Lube material for stabilisers is provided by Bokkey at no extra charge.
- Keyboard kit (case, PCB, plate, gaskets, foam — all included parts from the kit)
- Switches (unlubed — switch lubing is a separate service)
- Springs (if you require spring swapping; customer-supplied only)
- Stabilisers
- Keycaps (optional — only needed if you want a build photo)
Missing or incompatible parts may delay your build. Please double-check your kit contents before shipping.
Turnaround time
Minimum two weeks from receipt of your parcel. Fulfilment is scheduled around my availability — this runs alongside a full-time job. If you are working to a deadline, please do not place an order. I cannot guarantee delivery within a specific window.
Rush orders: If you need a faster turnaround, contact me before purchasing to check my current schedule. Rush handling is available subject to availability and an additional fee. A minimum reasonable timeline still applies regardless — contact me first and we can discuss.
Delivery & meetup
All items must be shipped to me via SF Express, HK Post, or your preferred trackable courier. Meetup is not available. Return shipping will be arranged once your build is complete; postage cost is confirmed and billed separately.
Photography
A build photo is not a guaranteed deliverable of this service. That said, if your build turns out well — which I expect it to — I will likely send you a photo as part of the return. No promises, but I take pride in the work I do.
